Live Events classes allows students the opportunity to learn all about the live events industry and will gain hands on experience with live sound, lighting production, stage management, show calling, project management, rigging, health & safety and much more. Your child can also gain a Young Technicians Academy manual handling certificate.

Throughout the year, your child will have the opportunity to work with other Young Technicians Academy & LAPA students on a number of events that are held throughout the year.

Your child will have the chance to work alongside industry professionals and our tutors to run stages at these events. Tasks can include: back stage crew, liaising with artists, transporting equipment, band changeovers, operating the sound desk as well as enjoying the events themselves.

Overall, this course will allow your child the opportunity to develop a new set of skills that can provide them with future career opportunities in the live events industry as well as becoming a valuable part of a team & building new friendships.
